Working and living in Japan

Are you going to work or study in Japan for an extended period of time? This country has certain requirements for your health. A medical examination is a mandatory part of the permit application process.
We regularly carry out these medical examinations for students, expats and individuals who are staying in the country for a longer period of time. The medical examination for visa application for Japan may vary. Have you received a form? Send it to us so we can see what the requirements are.
The form e.g. ‘Medical Report‘ must be completed by an independent doctor.

The medical examination may include :

  • Thorax photo;
  • Various blood analyses including large blood count, ASAT/ALAT, Gamma GT;
  • Cardiac ultrasound (ECG);
  • Physical examination;
  • BMI: Height/weight;
  • Blood pressure.

What will you bring with you to the examination?

  • The form from the consulate;
  • Passport;
  • Any medication or list from the pharmacy;
  • Some urine (this is not necessary sober).

The medical examination takes about 30 minutes. After the examination, the blood samples will be sent to the lab. Once the lab results and x-ray are in, we will send you all documents by post (the original papers) and by mail.
